With over 30 years in the jewelry industry spanning every aspect of the direct to consumer business, Susan brings a unique 360-degree perspective. Starting at the front line selling directly to customers, Susan rapidly progressed up the corporate ladder to Manager, where she earned multiple awards for her store management. It was here that she first became enamored with the training process. After opening multiple stores, and fulfilling every role within the selection process—hiring, training, and managing performance—Susan decided ultimately to follow that path.
Susan moved on from the front line to pursue a Master’s Degree in Organizational Behavior, with a focus on Training and Development. It was at this point that she began to work in a consulting role to assist other owners in their team and business development.
Over the years, Susan has written and delivered training programs for both retailers and for vendors. She is a leadership coach for higher levels of management, and has been a featured speaker for various trade organizations. Her specialty lies in working with small family jewelers to help identify how to develop the individuals into a high-performance team, thereby increasing profits and reducing stress.
